Attention Prospective
and Adoptive Parents:
Welcome to the EAC Family Help Desk! Adoption assistance and
guidance does not end upon bringing your child home to the United
States. Many adoptive families need continued guidance from
adoption professionals and adoptive parents that will help families
deal with the medical, developmental, and emotional issues our
children face.
The
European Adoption Consultants Help Desk in conjunction
with the Family Learning Center
has assisted hundreds of families in understanding the health and
medical needs of their adopted children; and to help their children
develop socially and emotionally. Our experienced social worker is committed in assisting adoptive families
with the skills and tools to build stronger, healthier families.

Adoption issues
don't just go away on their own; families need to be proactive in
assisting their children in getting well. Families often call the
Help Desk with a broad range of questions ranging from what types of
available adoptive children would best suit their families to the
different types of emotional, psychological, and medical issues
adoptive children may possess. Families who have adopted
internationally often call our Help Desk with questions on their
children's medical diagnosis or to seek advice on their child's
adjustment to their new family.
Families are
also encouraged to call the Help Desk if they simply feel
overwhelmed or confused with the adoption process or the transition
of bringing a child home. We are here to listen and offer support.

discouragement, hopefulness, and excitement. There is no parenting
that is ever easy or without problems. We've been working with
children and families for the past 18 years. We look forward to
